Graham Allwood

Graham is a Chartered Civil Engineer with over 20 years of experience working in the construction industry covering a range of different projects. Graham graduated in 1998 with a degree in Civil Engineering from Nottingham Trent University and continued training to reach chartered status in 2005.

Graham has a wide range of experience having worked as a site engineer for large and small engineering/building contractors. Graham has also worked for civil and structural engineering design consultancies covering a range of different projects producing design drawings, specifications and calculation documents.

Projects involved with on site and the design office include the following sectors:-

Commercial buildings
Large residential buildings and student accommodation blocks.
Health centres
Transport projects including the Nottingham Tram project NET line 1
Civil engineering projects involving large scale earthworks
New road construction and road extension projects
Small domestic projects for new builds, refurbishment and correction of building defects

GA Consulting

GA Consulting is based in Keyworth, Nottinghamshire and was established in 2009 by Graham Allwood.

GA Consulting provides engineering design services specialising in domestic and small commercial projects. Work includes new build and extension projects to provide a comprehensive engineering design service for the structural design requirements to comply with building regulations.

Each project starts with a site survey to meet the client and survey the site or existing building, this follows with a calculation report and a set of engineering drawings to provide a comprehensive package of information. Graham has good working relationships with a number of local architects, builders, building control departments and other specialist services. Graham can provide suitable contacts for clients to help with their projects.
